What We Believe

Our mission is to share the love of Jesus and to nurture a diverse community to become committed followers of Christ.

Grace – is the only way we enter into a right relationship with God, the source of power to follow Christ faithfully, and the right way to do Christian ministry. Grace compels us and informs us how we ought to think and live; it heals our brokenness and humbles our self-righteousness. It causes us to be kind and true.

Prayer – is the means by which we strengthen our relationship with God and connect to spiritual power. Prayer denies our tendency to self-sufficiency and exhibits the reality of our childlike dependence on our Heavenly Father. It reveals and shapes what we love.

Imago Dei (The image of God) – is our starting conviction about every person that exists and all who enter our lives. Every human being has inherent dignity and equality before God and is worthy of respect and value on account of bearing God’s image.

Sharing – is what God demonstrates to us in the gospel and what we want to characterize our lives. All that we have is from the Lord and it our privilege to share God’s love as well as our time, talents, and resources, thereby paving the way for genuine fellowship with one another and a faithful witness to our neighbors.

Diversity – is inherent in the Godhead as well as in the gospel. Just as the three Persons of the Trinity live and love in harmony, so also the gospel unites people from all nations, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Uniformity is less complicated, but it is more bland; diversity demands listening and seeking mutual understanding, which like a diamond, brings beauty to complexity.

Our Connection

We are a mission church of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and hold to the Apostles Creed and the Westminster Confession of Faith as our doctrinal confession.
